Ed Phillips founded “Phillips Tours” in 1953 out of his home in South Lyon, MI. After 23 years with the B & O Railroad as a city passenger agent, he worked briefly managing the Youth Travel division of an Ann Arbor company before starting Phillips Travel Service and Teen Tours by Phillips. His belief in giving the "best service", and conscientious supervision to all his youth groups was the cornerstone of the company’s success. His personal attention to trip details and his innovative tour planning has been a key to where we are today.
